About Juan Manuel:

Our environmental expert, Juan Manuel acts as an Energy and Natural Resources Lawyer, with a longstanding interest and substantial experience working in public sector initiatives in land conservation and use. Juan Manuel previously worked with INCODER, the Colombian Institute of Rural Development, on a project for rural development as part of the National Agrarian Reform program that looks at land use for displaced population.

He is an expert in the acquisition, purchase and expropriation of land for public or private infrastructure projects. He has also worked on international land conservation initiatives advising CORPACOT, with the support of the Embassy of the Netherlands, to develop legal instruments to conserve protected land in Colombia.

Juan Manuel has provided legal counsel to the National Parks Authority of Colombia, and to the Third Millennium project for the Mayor’s Office in Bogotá, which developed the first Urban redevelopment project in the capital.

Our Muñoz Tamayo & Asociados associate has taught Environmental and Urban Law at prestigious universities in Colombia and abroad.
