Silvia M. Méndez-Parodi

Head of the Environmental Law Practice



Silvia has worked with law firms, companies and governmental entities in issues involving local and International Environmental Law, Government Procurement, Trade, Infrastructure and Mining. Her experience includes working with the International Affairs Office of the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development as an advisor in environmental and trade related issues.

She has also worked as a consultant on various infrastructure, mining and hydrocarbon projects to solve the legal concerns of national and foreign companies in environmental and social matters, such as prior consultation, environmental licenses, environmental permits, environmental and administrative regulation, and international environmental issues.

When not working with Muñoz Tamayo & Asociados, Silvia also teaches Environmental Law at Universidad del Rosario and the Law School of Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, where she co-directs the Center of Environmental Law Studies.
