Amparo is a multi-jurisdictional Lawyer with international training and experience. She obtained her law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic in 2010, and obtained a master’s degree (LL.M) at the George Washington University Law School in 2011. While moving to Colombia, Amparo also obtained a law degree from the Sergio Arboleda University in 2014.

Amparo has been a member of the firm since 2013. She assists clients in different areas of practice, with special emphasis on corporate matters such as incorporation and administration of commercial entities, share transfers, and mergers and acquisitions, as well as foreign exchange regulations and structuring cross-border transactions.

In 2014, Amparo was an active part of the team that advised a Brazilian client throughout the bid process of the for the sale of a majority stake in Isagen S.A. E.S.P. The firm assisted the client in creating the corporate legal structure for the purchase of the majority stake, and performed the due diligence of Isagen.

Throughout 2015, Amparo has also taken an active role in providing legal services to a telecommunications infrastructure company in establishing operations in Colombia, including structuring operations such as purchase of assets, and carrying out a title study for the acquisition of lots in different regions of Colombia On a day to-day basis, Amparo assists national and foreign clients in corporate matters.
