Pro bono
Giving Back to Our Community
As a founding member of the Pro Bono Foundation, MTA is committed to providing legal services to those who are less privileged and communities that are socially vulnerable or marginalized, as well to the organizations that assist them. We also work hand by hand with TrustLaw providing free legal assistance to NGOs and social enterprises facing challenges that transcend borders, enhancing the spread and depth of pro bono work.
Every lawyer working with us provides several working hours each year on pro bono cases and is passionate about doing good.
At Muñoz Tamayo & Asociados, we have always believed that as a leading law firm and with a central role in our community that we should apply our legal skills for the benefit of marginalized communities and neighborhoods. That is why we offer our legal skills free in support of this objective to those who deserve legal support.
In 2009, Muñoz Tamayo & Asociados was one of the founding firms of the Fundación Pro Bono Colombia, a non-profit group that allocates legal aid to the less fortunate with the objective of making justice accessible to all Colombians.
At Muñoz Tamayo & Asociados, each attorney, regardless of ranking, must complete several hours of pro bono work per year. Our Bogotá corporate lawyers work on their own cases as well as in groups for resolving cases of great social impact.
We undertake pro bono legal work in two ways: both through the foundation and through work that is sent directly to the firm.
